At Mill Rythe Junior School, we believe that RHE is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education. Our RHE curriculum supports the children’s understanding of different relationships and how to keep themselves healthy. We understand how important it is that children grow up learning vital life skills and knowledge that will give them lifelong learning about the world around them. We aim for the children to develop their life skills and form positive beliefs, values and attitudes that will help them grow into emotionally intelligent, resilient and considerate individuals and members of the community. Throughout their time with us, they will cover the following areas of the RHE curriculum:

  • Families and people who care for us
  • Online safety and relationships
  • Keeping Safe
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Caring friendships
  • Growing and Changing
  • Living in the wider world.

As part of the RHE curriculum, the children get to take part in our annual Careers Day when they are exposed to all sorts of different jobs, finding out about the world of work while being inspired by our guest speakers.
