Clubs
*Please note that there will be no clubs this term*
We have a fantastic range of clubs at Mill Rythe. Most of these are provided by our staff who are committed to sharing a passion of theirs with our children and do so by giving up their own time – as such there is no charge for these clubs unless we need to fund additional resources. The clubs letter for this term provides details of all of the clubs run by school staff. Whilst most clubs are open to all pupils in a particular year group, some clubs are attended by invitation only. For these clubs, individual letters will be given to our children. After school clubs run from 3.25pm until 4.30pm unless otherwise stated with morning clubs running from 8am until 8.30am when the children will stay with us for the rest of the day.
Sports
We offer a wide variety of successful extra-curricular sports clubs throughout the year, which compete in local school sports leagues.
Announcements about school sports clubs are made in assembly. Many of our clubs are ‘tasters’, running for a term, designed to introduce children to new activities.
The Office Team will be able to give you more information about the clubs on offer.
Music
Music is a real strength of our school and we are delighted to work in partnership with Neil Ogley and the Hayling Island Music Academy which enables our children to pursue their passion for music alongside a team of talented musicians and teachers with regular opportunities to perform. We currently have children learning the violin, woodwind, guitar and keyboard with most of these children also forming part of the Island Orchestra.
